The implementation process of BDO's lease management service

STEP 1: LEARNING
We provide education on how to capture the lease information in a standard Excel spreadsheet as well as NZ IFRS 16.
Inputting of dataSTEP 2: INPUTTING OF DATA
The client populates the Excel spreadsheet with all the lease data (BDO can assist with contract analysis).

Readiness check

STEP 3: READINESS CHECK
We review and assess the accuracy and completeness of the population of the lease data in the Excel spreadsheet.
STEP 4: UPLOADING OF DATA
We import the lease data from the Excel spreadsheet into the BDO Lead platform.
Impact accessmentSTEP 5: IMPACT ASSESSMENT
(if required)
We use the imported data to prepare an impact assessment for each requested transitional method.
Data validationSTEP 6: DATA VALIDATION
The client selects the appropriate transitional method and confirms the accuracy and completeness of the lease data, including assessments.
JournalsSTEP 7: THE JOURNALS
We provide the journals with input on the date of initial application and subsequent periods based on the selected transitional method.
Required informationSTEP 8: REQUIRED INFORMATION
The client confirms the required information and frequency of correspondence with us.

What is the ongoing process of BDO's lease management service?

BDO will contact you or your specified contact to request new and updated lease information.

You or your specified contact will provide the requested new and updated lease information.

In advance of finalising period-end financials

BDO will provide you with the information and journals, including depreciation, interest and lease liability amounts.
