Executive Summary

 

Richard is a specialist farm accountant and was appointed a Director of BDO Gisborne on 1 April 2019.

Prior to joining BDO, he has worked on the family farm and is now an owner in the family business. This has proven invaluable in enabling Richard to understand the intricacies, challenges and realities that his clients as business owners face.

Over the years Richard has built solid working relationships with a range of primary sector clients that have included sheep & beef farmers, horticulturalists, viticulturalists and crop farmers.

From 1 January 2025, Richard will be co-leading the BDO Gisborne Māori Business Unit, which is an opportunity that he is looking forward to embracing on all fronts.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Agribusiness, Accountancy & Management - Massey University, Palmerston North
