Jen Mildenhall was appointed a Director of BDO Gisborne on 1 January 2025.
Proudly born and raised in Wairoa, farming certainly runs deep in Jen’s blood. From an early age she knew she was destined to be an accountant later in life. Combining her affinity with numbers, a passion for helping people, and her farming background – all roads were leading to an agribusiness accounting and advisory career pathway.
Successfully completing her Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from Massey University, Jen was also awarded the Massey Scholar Award for graduating in the top 5%. She later went on to complete her qualification to become a Chartered Accountant and was a recipient of the prestigious Ted Delahunty Leadership Award in 2020.
Jen is passionate about her clients and their businesses. The ability to work closely with her clients and to develop a deeper understanding about what drives them is something incredibly special for her.
Being a part of her clients’ support network has enabled Jen to take a wider view of the situation, pre-empting their needs and bringing ideas for efficiency to the fore to achieve the best possible outcome.
