David Brian

David has more than 30 years of experience in the tax field, initially with the Inland Revenue and then in the private sector. 

David advises clients on New Zealand and cross-border arrangements (including structuring inbound and outbound investment).  He also provides advocacy services, primarily in relation to Inland Revenue disputes but he has also appeared before Parliamentary select committees on numerous occasions. 

Dealing with tax issues facing Maori entities is another area of expertise. David has been involved with treaty settlement negotiations and providing structuring advice for claimant groups.

Admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand
