Chris Harvey

Chris is an Advisory Partner based in BDO’s Taranaki office and provides advisory services to the Commercial, Agriculture and Rural services sectors.

An experienced business advisor, Chris joined BDO Taranaki as a consultant in late 2018. Prior to this he has had extensive experience in both Commercial & Agribusiness banking, both onshore in New Zealand and overseas in the UK. 

Chris specialises in Agribusiness, working with sharemilkers or share farmers through to some of New Zealand’s largest farming entities. Chris has assisted in a number of aspects in these businesses including establishing governance structures & advisory boards, strategic planning, succession, opportunity analysis and deal structuring. 

Having come from a farming background he enjoys the strong relationships he has formed in and around the sector and has a passion for driving performance out of grass roots, family farming businesses.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Public Practise (Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand)
• Bachelor of Commerce Agriculture (Farm Management & Rural Valuation)
• Provisional Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
