The Tairawhiti Rescue Helicopter provides a range of services including primary response for accidents and critically ill patients, search and rescue (including offshore missions), and inter-hospital transfer throughout New Zealand. BDO Gisborne supports and acknowledges the incredible lifeline such a service as the Trust Tairawhiti Rescue Helicopter provides our region including our remote rural communities.
Relay for Life is an inspiring community event that gives everyone a chance to celebrate cancer survivors and carers; remember loved ones lost to cancer; and fight back by raising awareness and funds to support the work of Gisborne-East Coast Cancer Society.
The Poverty Bay Golf Club was instituted in April of 1893 and was the fifth golf club to be established in New Zealand. This course has been a landing post for many generations of Gisborne golfers, with the club hosting a variety of different championship events.
Our firm has continually supported the Wayne Callaghan Memorial Trophy for Coach of the Year. This significant accolade is awarded to coaches that have made a significant contribution to a sport at either the grass roots or high performance level. The 2018 award recipient was Sharni Wainohu of the Horouta Waka Hoe Club.
