BDO’s cycling adventures around the world

Cycling is a sport near to our hearts not just here at BDO New Zealand. We share some of our cycling stories from around our global network.

BDO BRUSSELS

Allison Baete from BDO Brussels is currently competing in the Bikingman Championship taking place in Laos from 20 to 25 May. The challenge unites two of her passions: sport and travel.  As the first ever unassisted ultra-cycling world championship, it’s the ultimate endurance test for athletes – especially as Allison is a part-time triathlete, much more used to shorter distances. Women are currently under-represented in this challenge – so she’ll be flying the flag for all BDO women as well. Please show your support for Allison by donating to her chosen charity, Big against breast cancer.

BDO INDIA

Keith Farlinger, the global head of BDO International, is a keen cyclist. So much so that on a recent trip to the BDO office in Mumbai, he and 50 members of staff took to the streets for a late night cycle ride across Mumbai. For Farlinger, the sport is more than just a means to relax and rejuvenate or bond with friends. Riding for charity has been one of the more satisfying experiences so far, he says.
